The proprietor had a crush on Li Haorui and Lin Xinxin was aware all along. If Lin Xinxin didn’t like Li Haorui, she would have rejected him and certainly wouldn’t have provoked the proprietor.

She may have apologized, but every word had stabbed the proprietor’s heart.

Yu Chu glanced at her in silence.

Lin Xinxin’s eyes had turned red as she murmured softly. “Chuchu, do you… Are you blaming me? But I didn’t mean to… If not, I can delete his number. Don’t be mad at me…”

She sobbed pitifully and her tears threatened to spill out of her eyes. In her heart, she expected Tang Chu, the proprietor, to comfort her instead.

However, she paused and saw Tang Chu walk past her casually.

“If you don’t like him and don’t wish to have his number why are you still hesitating? Delete it.”

Lin Xinxin widened her eyes in shock.

Li Rong marched over and chided Yu Chu. “Are you trying to bully Xinxin?”

Yu Chu began to pack her things and answered without glancing at her. “I didn’t say anything. Didn’t she say that she doesn’t like Li Haorui and she doesn’t want his number?”

“You…” Li Rong was at a loss for a reply.

Lin Xinxin gnashed her teeth in silence but she continued to sob. “But… he forced me to…”

“Yeah!” Li Rong finally managed to retort. “The school beau wanted to give his number to Xinxin. I bet you’re jealous and that’s why you are being sarcastic here.”

A wise person wouldn’t argue with a fool. Hence, Yu Chu clammed up.

Seeing that she had gone quiet, Li Rong didn’t press on. She pulled Lin Xinxin and spoke, “Xinxin, on my way here, I heard that Master is back!”

“Master?” Lin Xinxin was taken aback.

Even Yu Chu raised her eyebrows.

“Master Su Yanbai!” Li Rong was so excited that she was about to jump in joy. “He is back!”

Lin Xinxin snapped back to her senses.

Yu Chu, who was staring at them, noticed how Lin Xinxin had blushed furiously.

“Really?”

“Yeah! Master Su has agreed to attend the opening speech but he won’t be going on stage…” Li Rong pressed her palms to her face and her eyes sparkled. “But that’s Su Yanbai! Even if he doesn’t go on the stage, I will still die of excitement and delight!”

She was right.

Lin Xinxin pressed her lips together. Suddenly, it was meaningless for her to get the school beau’s number.

On her first day, she had already heard everyone gushing about what a genius Su Yanbai was! He had gotten into Capital City University when he was 17 years old. In his second year, he landed a place in the International Computer Science Association. And that year, he hadn’t returned to school at all as he was involved in a research project overseas.

Hence, even though he was in his third year, he was only 19 years old. The second year students didn’t address him as senior and called him Master instead with looks of admiration.

However, Su Yanbai’s legacy wasn’t limited to just his brains. It included his mysterious background and his flawless and unbelievably gorgeous face.

Su Yanbai was never once included in competitions, votings, or rankings for the school beau.

Because… it would make them all obsolete.
