Wide-eyed and dumbfounded, Ye Ming stared at Yang Yuxi’s back. He did not regain his senses for a long time. This woman actually dared to seize the opportunity and made a request. She completely distorted what he meant. At this moment, Ye Ming was both angry and amused. This woman really had her means. She actually dared to give him a dress down in this way. It seemed like he had underestimated her.

“Stop right there!” Ye Ming hollered. “Why? Don’t tell me you want to exploit your employee?” Yang Yuxi raised her brow. “It’s nothing. I just wanted to remind you to be at work punctually tomorrow.” Ye Ming gave a fake smile. “You don’t need to worry about this,” Yang Yuxi said as she waved her hands and left the Linhai villa.

After leaving the villa, Yang Yuxi could not help cracking up. She had been oppressed by Ye Ming these two days. At the sight of him looking wide-eyed and tongue-tied when she was leaving, she was getting the kick out of it. It was as if she had taken her revenge. Along with the laughter, the fatigue in her body reduced significantly.

However, this happiness did not sustain for too long. Soon after, Yang Yuxi was sulking and frowning again. It was already very late at night and there was no one in the surroundings. She could only hear the sounds of the howling waves. It was a challenge to her nerves as she walked alone on the road.

“This bastard. He made me work so late but did not offer to send me back. He is really detestable,” Yang Yuxi chided. She wrapped both her arms around her shoulders and tread towards the main road. When she arrived home with a taxi, it was already one o’clock in the morning. She briefly washed up, returned to her bedroom and hit the bed directly. Very soon, she entered dreamland.

At this moment, the Linhai villa was still brightly lit. Ye Ming was sitting in the study room and reading quietly. He could hear sounds of knocking on the door as a helper came in and reported, “Young master, Miss Yang has arrived at home safely.” Ye Ming waved his hands and gestured to the helper that he could leave. A trace of surprise emerged on his face. He had thought that Yang Yuxi would definitely feel scared to walk alone on the road at night. He had sent someone to follow her and had been waiting for her to come back to bow down to him. To his surprise, Yang Yuxi did not have any intent to retract her steps although she did seem a little afraid.

“This woman is getting more and more interesting. I want to see where her tolerance level is.” Ye Ming knocked his fingers lightly on the table and revealed an unfathomable smile.

In the morning the next day, the sky had just turned bright when Yang Yuxi was startled awake by the alarm clock. She rubbed her eyes and glanced at the time. It was already five o’clock in the morning. At the thought that she had not marked the assignments, her fatigue instantly vanished. She got up from the bed and dashed into the bathroom.

“Yuxi, what are you doing? You came back so late last night and woke up so early today.” Ding Qian was startled awake by the noise of Yang Yuxi washing up. With sleepy eyes, she opened the bedroom door and muttered. “I’m heading for school now, bye,” Yang Yuxi gave a short reply before leaving. “Weird.” Ding Qian shook her head and shut the door. She then slumped back into the bed and continued to sleep.

In the office, Yang Yuxi was all geared up to work. She began to mark the assignments completed by the students yesterday. Besides teaching, she had been busy with chores in Ye Ming’s villa yesterday and did not have time to mark the assignments at all. She had a class this morning and had to finish the marking before the class began. Otherwise, she would have failed in her duties. She was thus anxious. The lights shone down on her, casting a short shadow. It was not sure how long had passed. Yang Yuxi stretched herself. She had finally finished marking the assignments. There was still half an hour to go before her class started.

“Xiao Yang, you only started marking the assignments early this morning. It seems like you had some activities yesterday. Were you with the good-looking guy yesterday?” Zheng Rui, who was sitting opposite her, said with a teasing look on her face.
