Chapter 50: The Ferocious Bandit, Li Hanqiang
It was fortunate that Li Hanqiang had shouted just in time for the Little Drill Gremlin to stop himself, otherwise, the young monk would not have survived for another five seconds.
He was lying on the ground at that moment, his face pale from being frightened.
With Li Hanqiang’s order, the Little Drill Gremlin and the group of little gremlins naturally obeyed. They swarmed around and lifted up the young monk.
“Spare my life, spare me…”
Chief Officer Huixin was so scared that he peed and pooped himself.
The Chief Officer was not a normal monster or NPC. He was endowed with a personality by the Game Creator Endless and could feel many emotions such as happiness, anger, sadness, and joy.
Young monk Huixin has been given the character settings of a timid personality. The City Defense Center Summoning Circle had not been completed before the rocket had suddenly attacked the city. After that, the little gremlins rushed toward him and began to hit him. Now, he was being seized by them and felt that it was natural for him to be terrified.
The little gremlins allowed for no explanation no matter how much he begged for mercy as they picked him up and ran toward the Void Channel.
Not only could the little gremlins rob for money during the raids, but they could also rob people too!
Li Hanqiang’s eyes went bright as if he had developed a new skill for the little gremlins, suddenly opening the door to a world filled with possibilities.
“Catch this young monk back for breakfast!” Li Hanqiang shouted again. The little gremlins carried the young monk even more cheerfully as he was considered a big booty for them.
Hui Xin’s eyes turned as he heard this and immediately fainted due to fright.
After a moment, Li Hanqiang filled all his Small Chaotic Bottles with Chaotic Energy and even ran home to fill his own Chaos’ Core with the energy he had gotten.
Poor Chun Sanyue’s Chaos’ Core that originally had 520 points of Chaotic Energy had been robbed by Li Hanqiang until there was nothing left.
Li Hanqiang was very happy and secretly felt that Chun Sanyue deserved it.
He wandered around Chun Sanyue’s Chaotic City a few times. When he saw that there were no more places to raid, Li Hanqiang shouted loudly, “You guys, let’s go home!”
“Yes, King!”
“Let’s go home!”
The group of little gremlins happily embarked on their way home.
Li Hanqiang looked at Chun Sanyue’s Chaotic City that was stripped bare as he raised his hand and took out an item. It was the Signboard Flag he had robbed from the Raid Clone.
“It is rare to carry out these kinds of raids so let’s leave a memento!”
He moved his thoughts and erected the flag in front of the Chaos’ Core.
The flag unfolded and waved in the wind like a banner. It had colorful stripes and there were big characters on the flag that stated, ‘The ferocious bandit, Li Hanqiang, was here for a tour.’
This raid across Chaotic Cities finally ended. Satisfied, Li Hanqiang returned to his Chaotic City and the Void Station soon collapsed, closing behind him.
Young monk Huixin was escorted to the Mountain Top Cave Dwelling by the group of little gremlins. However, Li Hanqiang still had no time to study the Chief Officer as he began participating non-stop in the Gold Coin Challenge. He did not go offline and instead used all the gold coins he earned to buy Basic Arrow Tower Construction Blueprints and now had a total of 14 pieces.
Although the raid was over, there was still an attack on the city tomorrow. How could Li Hanqiang save up money to upgrade his Chaos’ Core at a time like this?
14 Basic Arrow Tower Construction Blueprints coupled with the Chaotic Energy he had robbed was now more than enough for him, as he could not wait to get started on changing the towers.
This time, Li Hanqiang did not ponder on any random metaphysics as he started changing the towers. Luckily, his luck was actually good this time around. After attempting to mutate 14 Basic Arrow Towers, he managed to get four Sword Towers and four Bright Lance Dark Arrow Towers.
There should have been many variations of the Basic Arrow Tower, but from Li Hanqiang’s experience, changing them to either the Sword Tower or the Bright Lance Dark Arrow Tower seemed to be the easiest. There were also other extremely rare towers such as the Rocket Towers and these could only be changed according to luck.
Li Hanqiang was extremely satisfied. He moved his free Chaotic Stone Slabs from the back to the front, just like Chun Sanyue, and built his Defensive Towers in three rows on each side of the War Corridor.
After adjusting the positions of the Defensive Towers, Li Hanqiang thought about the second method involving his Tower Change, which could synthesize towers.
However after giving it some thought, he did not dare to rashly attempt it. This was like doing easy acrobatic moves. It would naturally be a good thing if the synthesis succeeded but if it failed, it would cause people to cry. Hence, it would be better to slowly study it when he had better conditions.
In order to prepare for the siege mission, Li Hanqiang decided to not go offline and went fishing instead.
He also stared at his friends’ list. The conditions for the attack and defense parties created by both Chaotic City Lords allowed them to freely form their siege and defense armies. The victory of the defending party depended on whether there were any remaining defensive troops left after 48 hours.
Although Li Hanqiang felt his Defensive Tower configuration was not bad, the Defensive Towers were not considered to be enough force to defend the city. Therefore, he had to get as many players as he could. In fact, he did not have many friends. There were only four of them, which were Dark Redemption, Fanning Knight, Fiery Blade Sage, and Big Trader.
Time quickly flew…
Chun Sanyue woke up, not being able to sleep well the previous night. He kept dreaming about winning sieges and obtaining countless system rewards as they dropped from the sky. How could he sleep in such an excited state?
He got up and was not in a hurry to eat breakfast as he put on his VR helmet and went online to have a look. He estimated that the young monk Chief Officer would have already finished drawing the City Defense Center Summoning Circle.
“I am going to build a City Defense Center right away. I don’t even know what functions the building has!” Chun Sanyue was full of expectations and now…he was stunned.
What happened?
Where did his defensive towers go?
Why were they all gone?!
What about his Chief Officer? Where was the young monk Chief Officer? Where did he go? How was he missing!
The City Defense Center Summoning Circle was gone!
Chun Sanyue felt that he had logged into the wrong account.
“Were there hackers? Did they hack my account?”
Chun Sanyue wanted to call the police!
Just at that moment, he noticed a flag waving in the wind in front of his Chaos’ Core.
Chun Sanyue slowly read out the large characters written on the flag with trembling lips, “The ferocious bandit, Li Hanqiang, was here for a tour… The ferocious bandit… Li Hanqiang…”
Chun Sanyue’s eyes went dark, feeling like he wanted to vomit blood.
[Ding, ding, ding, ding, ding…]
Warning ringing sounds came from the VR helmet of the game. The system detected that Chun Sanyue’s current state was not suitable for the game and immediately kicked him offline.
“Ah!”
A roar came from Chun Sanyue’s room as a VR helmet flew out of the window.
His beautiful dream had not come true. The reality was actually a nightmare!
Chun Sanyue was so angry and anxious. He could not figure out what had gone on that night. In the end, he unwillingly to call a phone and directly yelled, “Hey, Endless World customer service, I want to make a report on a thief named Li Hanqiang who stole my account… ”
Unconsciously, the time was now nine in the morning as Li Hanqiang still remained fishing. At that moment, he saw Big Trader’s name light up in his friends’ list and he immediately sent a message over.
[Brother, come and help me defend the city. Someone will attack my city at 12 noon!]
Li Hanqiang also sent the details of the siege and defense gameplay over to him.
After a while, Big Trader sent a message containing one simple word.
[OK!]
Li Hanqiang was moved by this and felt that Big Trader was someone with a sense of justice.
Moments later, Fanning Knight and Fiery Blade Sage also came online and Li Hanqiang immediately sent them both a message.
The two of them asked many questions and when they heard that it was the Emperor’s Rich Guild who were causing a hindrance, they immediately declared their stand and assured Li Hanqiang that they would arrive before 12 o’clock.
Dark Redemption also came online and naturally, Li Hanqiang sent out an invitation to him as well. Night Redemption gave it some thought for a while before finally promising that he would come over to help defend the city.
Dark Redemption was regarded as an important player to Li Hanqiang. He was a legendary profession with a combat power that was more reliable than the two idiots, Fanning and Fiery.
