Chapter 21: You Are Not a Good Person

Margaret walked around the island with her long legs.

Alice followed behind her with great patience.

Margaret looked at her with an indifferent gaze. “You don’t have to follow me.”

Alice smiled and said, “If you don’t know anything, you can ask me.”

Margaret stopped and looked at her. “As a fairy, why do you have to obey humans?”

Alice tilted her head and said matter-of-factly, “Master summoned us, so of course, we have to listen to his arrangements.”

“No other reason?” Margaret asked again.

Alice shook her head. “No.”

Margaret withdrew her gaze and continued walking forward. “I will not listen to the orders and arrangements of an ordinary person.”

Alice thought of an essential matter. “Don’t you want to obtain the essence of life from master?”

“Essence of life? What is that?” Margaret frowned in confusion.

Alice did not know how to explain either. Finally, she replied in her master’s words, “It is the most precious thing in master’s body.”

Margaret shook her head. “I am an earth elemental fairy. I don’t need those things.”

Alice tilted her head in confusion. “How are you going to live?”

Margaret looked down at the ground. “I just need to bury myself in the Earth.”

After walking around the island, Margaret found that there was a lot of energy in the earth.

She just needed to bury herself in the earth to get energy.

Thinking of this, Margaret found a slight hole in the soil.

The soil was wet, and all the energy was gathered here. Therefore, it was more suitable than other places.

She squatted down and dug the soil with her hands.

Alice looked at her movements blankly. Soon, a small pit was dug.

Just enough for Margaret to lie in it. Finally, a smile appeared on her indifferent face.

Alice saw that she had closed her eyes as if she wanted to sleep here.

She got up helplessly. “Well, you have a good rest.”

Margaret lay in the muddy pit, trying to absorb the energy in the soil.

Alice turned around and explained, “I can sense that Margaret’s life force has weakened.”

Steven raised his eyebrows. “Oh?”

Alice said, “I want to go and see her.”

Steven had already heard from her about Margaret’s actions and was at a loss of laughing or crying.

However, she was an earth elemental fairy, so it made sense for her to be buried in the ground, so he did not say anything to stop her.

Listening to Alice’s words, they meant that Margaret’s method was not feasible at all.

He smiled. “Well, you go ahead.”

Alice put down the tools in her hands. She had only walked halfway when she met Margaret, who was in an extremely sorry state.

Margaret was covered in mud, and her face was filled with disbelief.

Alice walked up and asked with concern, “Margaret, are you alright?”

Margaret looked at her. “Who are you calling?”

“You. The name master gave you. Does it sound good?” Alice asked with a smile.

Margaret frowned. “Why? Why can’t I absorb their energy when I’m buried in the mud?”

Alice could not answer such a professional question for a moment.

Soon, she thought of her master and said excitedly, “We can go to master. Maybe he can answer this question for you.”

Margaret was slightly stunned. She thought of how she treated Steven when they came out during the day.

Alice did not think so much. This was a good opportunity to ease the relationship.

She took Margaret back to the World Tree and greeted, “Master, Margaret has a question to ask you.”

Steven raised his head and saw Margaret at this moment. He burst out laughing.

“Hahahaha, what are you doing? How could you make yourself look like this?”

Margaret tilted her head and no longer looked at him.

Alice explained, “Master, she is an earth elemental fairy. She should be able to absorb energy when she is buried in the Earth. Why can’t she?”

Hearing this question, the smile on Steven’s face disappeared. He said seriously, “You are asking the right person.”

Margaret raised her head and looked at him in surprise. Did he really understand?

Lydia also stopped what she was doing and looked at him curiously.

Steven stood up and said seriously, “This is a strange world. If you want to absorb energy, you have to rely on farming and these unremarkable plants.”

“As for you fairies, you are living beings, so you shouldn’t be able to absorb their energy.”

“Otherwise, why do you think I’m farming? Do you really think this job is fun?”

Lydia was stunned and immediately felt incredulous.

She was wondering why a normal person would be farming here.

So it was because plants could absorb the energy in the land and then use it in other places.

Alice suddenly understood. “So that’s how it is.”

Margaret frowned. She had not expected this situation.

Steven smiled. “So, if you want to get energy, there are two ways. The first is to get the fruits of plants, which contain the energy in this space.”

“The second is to get energy from my body.”

Margaret looked at the food that had just been picked and said, “I want to obtain energy from them.”

“Hehe…” Steven smiled meaningfully. “These things are mine. If you want to obtain them, you need my permission.”

Margaret frowned again.

Lydia looked at his smile and curled her lips.

It was obvious what he was trying to do. He was definitely going to continue deceiving these ignorant fairies.

She looked at the conflicted Margaret as if she was looking at herself.

She could not help but say, “Don’t believe him. He’s not a good person!”
