Chapter 40: Lu Qiang Was Taken Away

Zhang Yue looked at Cui Hong’s actions in confusion and followed her.

Just as she walked to the wall, Zhang Yue heard a man’s voice, “Is what you said true?”

Cui Hong’s voice sounded, “It must be! I’ve already checked!”

The man’s voice sounded again, “If that’s the case, then you should bear with it for a few more days. I’ll think of something.”

Cui Hong did not respond immediately, as if she was hesitating.

She subconsciously looked at the village chief’s house behind her.

“He said that if he calls me in the future, this thing will sound.” Mother Li’s smile was brilliant, and her whole face was beaming.

“We don’t know how this thing sounds!” Mother Li giggled and said, “Anyway, I miss my son. Once the this thing sounds, I know that my son misses me too!”

Zhang Yue listened to mother Li’s words and was also happy for her.

Although she didn’t know why the thing making a sound had such a big effect, as long as mother Li was happy!

When Zhang Yue returned home, she was a little absent-minded.

Lu San looked at her absent-minded appearance and frowned tightly.

“Keep an eye on her for the next two days and see if she does anything else,” Lu Sheng instructed.

Zhang Yue nodded, but she could not suppress the nervousness in her heart. “I have a feeling that she is going to do something bad.”

“Yeah, I have the same feeling.” Lu Sheng nodded and voiced out the worry in his heart.

Lu San sat by the bed, nibbling on a peach as she looked at her parents.

She could vaguely feel that Cui Hong was plotting something, but she did not feel that there would be a crisis.

In other words, Cui Hong’s matter was not directed at them!

The next day, Lu Sheng was busy preparing for the construction of the medical station when he saw the village chief running over anxiously.

“Something’s wrong! Something big has happened!” The village chief said anxiously, his head covered in sweat.

“What happened?” Lu Sheng and his companions who were in charge of the construction were studying the materials with their heads lowered. When they raised their heads, they saw the village chief standing above them.

The village chief blocked the sunlight. Lu Sheng only felt the darkness pressing down on him from above.
